Superchips + Tow/Haul WTF!
So the "shudder" when shifting into reverse while 'tuned' w/ the Superchips has ceased with several hundred miles of driving...now a NEW issue it seems. Tallahassee is hilly, so I use Tow/Haul to save my brakes. So on two occasions now while in Tow/Haul, and slowing down, once I have reached maybe walking speed, 10 mph or less the tranny seems to downshift into maybe 1st? REALLY VIOLENTLY...it's like a really loud clunk/ca-chunk feeling/sound coming from the tranny and the driveshaft goes "DING!". WTF!!!??? I can't always duplicate it, but it's happened twice now. Otherwise the truck drives and rides completely normal. I am stumped. I am tempted to reprogram to Stock and get rid of the Superchips. I wonder if the SCT will bring me any better luck when I get it? I thought my '06 was/is one of the good ones? Any ideas on what this could be? Slow speed downshift/sudden ker-chunk???
