wal-mart can go to hell for all I care. I hate that place and have stopped shopping there, actually did sometime ago. Don't go there for anything and have most of my family on the same plan.

The wal marts in MN don't as far as i know. They do in wisconsin though. I heard the new CEO doesn't like guns i guess. They used to be the nations largest gun dealer, now gander mountain is. I quit buying them from gander too. I only go to ma and pa gun shops, better service, selection, and prices.

I think Wal Mart considers guns really no different than pots and pans...if it makes money they sell it. Maybe local stores have some warped misinformed ideas but doesn't seem to be a corporate policy, yet anyway.

Few years back I got a Savage 110 in .270 caliber for dirt cheap at a local Wal Mart. It's now a .220 Swift since I bought it for a project gun. It was on clearance since they obviously weren't selling well in this area. I had the sales lady check their stock because I would have bought every one they had at that price.

They never have sold handguns that I know of. I would think that's another business decision because of all the hassles the goof balls have put on handgun sales.

I'm definitely not a cheerleader for Wal Mart. We've had our issues over time. But I hope when they sit down at a board meeting they discuss return on investment and such rather than their personal opinions. But the whackos are in their ear quite a bit too. And the squeaky wheel gets the grease usually.

That is a funny statement. It is made as though Wal-mart is NOT a "big-box" store...

I hate walmart, try not to go unless I have to (need something really late) But I do know the local wal marx stores have guns and ammo.

All Alaska Wal-Mart stores have ample stocks of guns, rifles, shotguns, and yes even handguns. Also ammo, muzzle loading and some reloading equipment and supplies. However so does Fred Mayer and most every other store with camping stuff here.

I don’t go in Wal Mart, no way no how!!
My kid was working there and when they passed him by for his yearly bump he went and asked why. They would not say but flew a guy in from down south to help all the employees get food stamps and other handouts. This guy explained if they paid him more he would not qualify for the hand outs so it would be like a pay cut. My kid quit on the spot and happily works for Costco for 4 years now.

Any place that uses tax money to supplement low price China made junk don’t need my business!
