Umm what good is an unloaded weapon. I am no barney Fife. If I am carrying a firearm. It will be loaded to the max. That means 1 in the chamber and 10 in the mag.

Hmm, "lambs to the slaughter" comes to mind here. Though with recent trends, I can see it a good idea that someone should be ready. I'd say at least the pastor as he's the "shephard of the flock".

I had the same question. When I carry, I don't keep the ammo in my pocket

Maybe he thinks, "safest place", because its open carry and people outside will see them carrying . But if they read this news story they won't fear anybody
