Free NRA Membership?

Someone posted this link in on the SCCC message board. I'm not completely sure about it, though, because the NRA's main site doesn't mention it. If it is legit then it's an awesome deal- a one year membership (with a magazine!) for free or a discount on the other memberships.

What do you guys think?

It worked for me and they didn't ask for a credit card number or anything, so I guess I'll find out if it's for real.

I'd be skeptical. The NRA needs numbers for clout, but it costs money to deliver the magazine and offer the other services.

I think you can be a member and not get the magazines for something like $10 a year.

I did some more research today and a lot of people were saying that this is a legit offer, so I emailed the NRA and if they confirm that it is I'm going to get the 2 year membership for $25.

I've been planning on doing the basic $10 membership for a while but I kept putting it off. So I'll probably just go ahead and get that if they come back and say the offer isn't real.

The more the merrier. Numbers help when the NRA has to lobby against
bone-headed legislation. (So do membership dues).
