Open Carry

Have been watching some youtube vids on open carrying. I have to say, this video really impressed me. This police officer went about it really well

Yeah TX is CC only, KS is both but OC is frowned upon and will get you harassed.

I think any state you will get harrassed for open carry. We just need more police like the one in the video I posted. I would be totally fine if I was stopped like that OC.

There are states that dont require a license to open or conceal carry. Alaska is one of them.

Jarrod, there was a bill passed by The Texas House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security and Public Safety has passed HB 2756 for a vote by the entire House of Representatives. That was back in May of this year...dont know whats happened since.......

It takes away the words concealed in the carrying law, which would make it legal for anyone with a CC permit to open carry.

If it was legal for the guy to be carring open, he shouldn't have been stopped in the first place. This makes me angry.

It's legal for me to drive, should I be stopped because I'm driving just to make sure I'm safe if I'm not breaking any other laws?

Understandable. I see both sides of the argument. There are a lot of crazy people out there who tip over the breaking point and go nuts. With the current state of the economy, you never know what people will do or who's sane or not; so you never know. Yes, it's legal for you to drive. But just because it is, doesn't mean you can slam into random cars. Guns are a right, but more so a privileged and there is a time and certainly a place. How would you feel if someone was walking down your street with a gun showing? What would you automatically think? They're either a police officer, or they're looking for something...

If I lived in town and it were legal, I probably wouldnt' think too much about it. Criminals don't wear their intent for the public to see.
