As in Rahm Emanuel, the newly elected Mayor of Chicago? Call me slow, but I don't see the tie in. He's a mayor, this issue is a State issue.

To the article, I don't think the names should be made public. As long as the agency that administrates it knows who holds permits, that's enough. IMO.

Here is one way to look at. It will give the " bad" guys a list of who not to rob, they'll look for people not on the list. This idea alone should make the anti-gun nuts rethink printing that list.

I doubt it will pass, but it's like Vince said, let the crooks know who owns guns (and how many) and they'll stay away and go to the neighbors house who doesn't own any.
