This guy Tuason is pretty stupid. I think I'd feel pretty naked openly carrying an unloaded gun though. I guess you could throw it at someone.

1. California

2. Upset because the size of the citizen's gun is larger than his (not weapon) remember he's in Calif.

3. We must remain vigilant on these matters EVERYDAY-ALLDAY

4. Nevermind...............

I follow this on a gun website. Made me sick to see. The sad part is most law enforcement in Cali don't want you to be armed. This guy went to far.

Carrying an unloaded gun is the most peoples only option in this state. You can carry all the loaded mags you want, they just can't be concealed either. Stupid I know but the other choice is being a victim.

Ok, I am interested to see what the other thin blue line guys have to say about this.
Just what this nation needs, one more ignorant a.s.s.hole with power.
Doom on him.

ETA - oh but he'll get it by a criminal - not a 2nd'r. What a prick. As much as I want to see him catch a round I'd STILL stand beside him against the bad people in this world and put rounds down range towards them.

Sorry Alan gotta disagree. He's not much into your rights or mine = he's one of the bad guys. Points out he has no problem putting some one down prone because they are legally carrying.

I guess it's an easier job than facing a meth-head with a weapon.......a real law breaker and a real threat.

From the article--East Palo Alto Police Sgt. Rod Norris said he was unable to comment on the matter, but Capt. Carl Estelle told the San Jose Mercury News that police officials must be careful not to violate Tuason's First Amendment rights, since the comments appeared on his personal Web site.

"In no way are his personal comments reflective of any policies or procedures here at the department nor does he speak for the police department," Estelle told the newspaper.

Any other law abiding citizen would be held accountable for these comments why not this guy??

As far as the PD,it is San Mateo County whose Sherrif's department issued a statement "Should the gun carrying person fail to comply with a law enforcement instruction or move in a way that could be construed as threatening, the police are forced to respond in kind for their own protection. It’s well and good in hindsight to say the gun carrier was simply “exercising their rights” but the result could be deadly. Simply put, it is not recommended to openly carry firearms.
