My brother was saved by an asault rifle, it was an AR style gun he said M16 but doesn't matter. He was known to have money and 4 people with guns entered his house. He ran to the bedroom got his rifle and shot at the first 2 that he saw. 3 of them left left running one of them leaving a trail of blood around the block. One was left in the door way.

Damn glad to have had that asault rifle, he had 6 of his children, 4 friends and some of their children living there with him at the time. He thought it was just the two of them that broke in but as he was shooting the two others jumped out of a window. That may not have happened had he been shooting with a 22 or a 9mm. Definately not with a 22.
