Questions For Tech Gurus.....parts identification....
I was speaking to Tony Wildman about my chip on the phone tonight, and because of a possible retrofitted engine in my 99, I was wondering somethings....
1. How do I tell what injectors I have? Do I have to pull the valve cover off to find out, or do I have to pull the whole injector out?
2. how do I tell if I have the later model Turbo and y pipe going to the intake? What should be the A/R numbers on the larger late 99 and up turbos?
The reason I am asking, is because I was told that on my early 99 model truck, the previous owner had a 03 7.3L motor swapped in. I know the injectors, turbo, HPOP and pcm should be different. How do I tell the later model years from the early model years? I have t know this in order for Tony to burn my chip, plus it will help me out with knowledge about my truck anyhow. I wanted to find out if he just used the block, or if he used the entire wiring harness, PCM, and all the updated later model year sensors and such. Help will be appreciated guys!!!!!
