Howdy all,
DieselNut made a couple of recommendations and I wanted to ask the forum what you think I should do to get my stock '01 tranny as bullet proof as possible for towing my 5-er, as well as rocketing around town in it...a request - talking to me about technical stuff, parts, etc. is like talking to your wife, girlfriend or granny - go slow, don't use acronyms and abbreviations, and be patient-thanks! I'm good with Google and will use powerstroke.org vendors - just need some guidance from those that have been there before.
here's his note:

I am running a sale on Suncoast products right now, so check it out in the vendors forum! Thanks!

I have been considering a shift kit and torque converter, after talking with Marc and others. Per Jason, the shift kit is part of the 'valvebody' (I think) - I don't know what budget I'll have in a couple of months, but it won't be a ton, that's for sure...any ideas on what I should be looking at? What did you do to your tranny that you really can recommend I consider? What did it cost?
Thanks a lot for your time.
