Smile Thanks Steve

I appreciate your help. I had pretty much decided that I needed to do what you suggested. I just wasn't sure if "double filtering" (supply and return) would cause any problems. I am going to go ahead and have a transmission specialist (not Ford) inspect/service it and install the filter I bought in the return line. The kit came with the connections to cut it into the metal line if I want to. I will let the shop decide. I may go ahead and have the supply line repaired at a hydraulic hose shop and put it back to stock. It leaks and nothing I have done seems to correct it.
Do you have any idea of how I can take the bar code information from the rebuilt tranny and determine the "history"? Date? Mileage? etc.? Two different dealers have told me that they can register one but not trace one. So how do they determine that a rebuilt tranny is still under warranty? Duhhhh?
Thanks for your help.
