Man, I must be crazy then!
I paid 300.00 for my cobia, with a trailer.
Replaced 2 trailer tires, bought life jackets, a fire extinguisher, a mic for the VHF, changed the I/O oil, and the engine oil, replaced the bilge pump, and threw it in the water. Already had new bellows and a new u-joint in the drive.
Total spent was under 600.00 and it's the best money I have spent.
Does make me want a bigger boat, and for 5k you certainly do get alot of boat.
But that's next year. Being on lake ontario anything under a 21 footer can be dicey unles it's late and smooth as glass. Lukily I have the 5 finger lakes all within 2 hours drive.
