Thanks for the bumps. I have learned a great deal from this site so far but guess the tranny question was just too tuff.
Ford Motor has indicated to me that within a month or so any dealership should be able to run the numbers found on the tranny and get a "history". I plan to have a tranny shop install the filter I purchased on the proper line and give it a good going over. A filter coming and going hopefully won't hurt anything...'cause I sure don't know if none of your members don't!
