The trick is to tell if your truck has keyless entry installed. Its actually a way to program the key fobs. I don't remember it 100% but its something like: unlock your truck using the key, get in, lock the doors using power, put the key in the ignition and turn it to ACC, as you would for the wait to start, BUT you turn it off then on then off....etc. you do this 8 times relatively fast, 1/2 sec-1 sec per cycle. If your truck has keyless the door locks will cycle unlock-lock after the 8th key cycle. I think thats how it goes, 95% sure. It was a long time ago when I did it. Its actually a programming step, if you have a keyfob you want to program you can do it this way...somehow... and save not going to the dealer, I had a buddy who was a lock smith that programmed mine so I don't know how its done.
