Mine did that a couple of years ago. I think it was more than one piece, so I didn't have to buy it from the pedal all the way back. I had one break on a chevy while I was loading a boat one time. I went swimming, but managed to save it about the time the front wheels went in the water. Last time I left the truck running and trusted the e-brake on a downslope.
