I've seen em go pretty quick if they are not set up right. If I was you I'd tell them to pull a rear axle out of a truck on the lot and put it in yours. 2k is pretty crappy to have on your p/u and let it sit for a month. Although it is under warranty if you drive it and it breaks it's there problem not yours.
