I'm a newbie to not only the forums but to diesels. Right now I'm looking at a2000 F250 Crew Cab 4x4 7.3L with 100,000. They guy is asking 17000.
It's a Lariat package. The only thing he pointed out was that it smokes a little at first start up for about 5 mins and was told that it could possibly be an injector. I asked him how much driving on the highway and longer trips he does, and he said that he uses it more for everyday and not alot of long trips.
I would think that it is possible that the truck just needs to be ran out on the highway for a little while to let the truck clean out itself.....So does this sound like a good deal to all the experts or should I keep looking. Also on the same note, If I do buy the truck I'm looking at installing a programmer or chip to increase mpg, any suggestions on what's the best bang for the buck.
