Ford considers 1 quart of oil every 1500 miles as normal consumption. In saying that, you should always check the oil at the exact same temperature and if it has been running, you need to allow 5 mins for draindown...SOOOO...
the only way to properly check oil consumption is to change the oil on a cold motor.....then mark the dipstick.....then only check it cold and see if it drops more than 1 quart in 1500 miles....
