I never use OAI, for that same reason. I use blackstone labratories.
Matter of fact got a sample back yesterday on my 2000 and all showed perfect with the oil. Wear particles where extremely low. Running diesel marine and no bypass just an eao99. all of my wear metals were 0 except iron was 5 out of 17 with 8k on my oil. TBN was still 10 and raw amsoil is a 12TBN.
