It is a brake controller made by Tekonsha - it controlls your trailer's brakes if it is so equipped.

Thats what I was saying - I plugged mine in with the harness that has connectors on both ends, not one you have to wire up and it went in the gray connector in the upper right - thats why I asked the question I did of the original poster b/c they were going to wire their controller to the cut wires they were pointing to.....
the plug'n'play harnesses are great!!!
