No problem, what is they are not experts on car seats but they do know the state laws on properly securing your child in a vehicle. Most police stations hold a clinic where I live for first time parents to show them how to properly secure a car seat rear facing and forward facing. It is a nice clinic they also go over the laws as far as what wieght for what car seat and how big they have to be so you do not need a car seat no more. The clinic is about 30 minutes long and has alot of info. Since you work at the sherriffs office maybe you should talk to the sherriff about setting up a clinic like this. It is usually held at the public library where I live.
