here is something i learned along time ago drag racing with my buddys. if you have ladder bars you need a floater setup on the axle so the axle can move back and forth when the springs travel up and down. now coil springs are exempt, because the springs move back and forth. in your case should'nt be a problem because you dont have a top mount on the rear end. i had an f 250 with ladders i made no floater, broke the heim joints, built a blazer, made a floater with ladders work great. reason for that, adjustable rear end. you can put more or less wieght on the rear for traction. boschert 72 is right on the metal thickness, build it twice as stronge as you think it should be. i have found that to be true on my harleys and there puny little motorcycles. sorry for being so long, just thought i'd share if it even matters to you. keep up the good work before you no it you wil be selling faster than you can make em.
