Couldn't agree more, however, these our sources that I do trust(although I can't expect you to) and if "I'm" going to be shelling out that much dough and I find out that something is remotely hinky with their post-purchase service, I really look hard as to rather or not I buy from them.
If I see something that is worth the asking price, even if that price is 50% higher then the average market price, I will pay it if the entire "package"(product
and service is worth it, but if I start looking into it and things aren't totally there for whatever reason or there might be a chance that I'm one of the ones that gets bad post-purchase service then I stay away from it. I know there is a chance of getting bad customer service after buying from any company, but when I'm paying a significant premium price above the average price, I demand top notch quality service throughout my experience with the company.
