Ok, i'll give you guys some quick insight to why im looking for 1ton axles for my 97 f150. I'm tired of this happening when i push the skinny pedal more than twice.
oh and this is whats left when i do the same thing in 4wheel...

silly 8.8's
ok so now that i entertained at least one of you guys, can someone point me in the direction of which generation of axles will work for me?
I want 4 wheel discs for hauling, the 10.25/10.5 has the tone ring that will work with my abs on my truck. the catch is the front axle on the 99+, i dont see the option for a truetrac OR 4.88 gears which really bums me out since im looking at 37" rubbers. oh and is it really a d50 on 99-05 or whatever year it was? I would really love to stick with the 99+ axles since i have those wheels AND a set of 37" tires for those wheels on hand.
is there a hub conversion for an older front axle so i can get the 4.88 gears and still use the wheels i do have?
educate me please.
