here goes, in the spirit of "the only stupid question is the one not asked"... Will keeping the trans cool completely solve the problem with low speed hauling as far as wearing out the TC? Last summer while hunting i crawled all over mountainsides at speeds less than 35 and my tranny puked up a few times. i installed another tranny cooler, but still have the feeling my truck is the wrong vehicle for that task, or any other related chore, i.e. pushing snow on trails at low speeds for distances - and that a manual transmission is the correct tool for that job. i guess what i'm thinking is that i had better be prepared for premature TC burnout if i keep doing what i do, even though i'm keeping it cool.
