most 6.0's use the EBP sensor in running the engine, not just to monitor for faults. The PCM attempts to achieve a certain BP level under load. So a larger exhaust on an otherwise stock truck would be a mild improvement in power. it may also cause fault codes when the expected BP level can't be attained.
