You can do that all you want but you really won't see much gain... plus if you are over 27 or so psi you will tear up your turbo.
If you have a chip and a map sensor fooler then you can tighten the wastegate a little bit more... Or change it out for a turbomaster wastegate controller. They perform much better then the stocker.
