I drove my truck home from church Sunday (about 3 miles in light traffic at no more than 60 mph). Parked it and went to start it again in about 30 minutes, and it cranked strong but wouldn't fire. Several hours later it cranked and fired on the first try, and nothing has happened since. Any ideas what would cause this? I might add that it was about 100 degrees outside (but it's been driven plenty in heat like that with no problems). Also, one of my kids was screwing around as we pulled up to the house, and I was paying too much attention to him and shut the truck off while it was still in drive. Is it possible that shutting the truck off without putting it in park did something? Any thoughts are appreciated.
