Snowman :

I guess there are two Dirk's on this forum.
I am Dirk 611, Having almost the same problem with my 1999 7.3 F350.
I think I have a pretty good handle on it.
First started out dying, and throwing codes. First Icp,then CPS, then exh. pressure code. After changing these sensors I thought my problem was solved--- WRONG !!! 100 miles later it died. Got under truck and moved wiring by crank sensor and truck fired-up. Turned out wiring harness had a bad connection. If standing in front of truck looking at motor- look on the right side
valve cover- look for large block of wires with bolt holding two halves together.
When my truck was running I could move that wiring harness and my truck would die. I separated the two halves cleaned with contact cleaner and put back together. Truck has run for two days with no problems. Keep your fingers crossed for me !!!
