9k-10k Winch?

Well, looks like the option of 12k+ winches is out for at least the time being on my bumper. I really would like to have the back-up though. I wrote Superwinch about the option of mounting the bigger winches and this is an excerpt from the email I got back.

"I would recommend the EP9.0 9,000 lbs winch for your application. This
unit can pull a rolling load of 45,000 lbs up a 10% grade."

Rolling 45,000lb up a 10% grade doesn't sounds like too big of a deal to me and single line pull is still only rated at 9,000lb.

I have three questions. Anyone use a 9,000lb winch on a Superduty? I figure I can always put it on the wife's Jeep when I upgrade.

Is it worth getting a 10,000lb worm gear winch instead? Thanks for any input you can provide.

Anyone have any experience with hydraulic winches on 3/4 or 1 ton trucks?

Thanks.
