Remember, if you start in 4 hi you are already in a way higher gear than if you start in 4 low, and correct me if i'm wrong, you want to get moving fast, therefore you'd want to start with lower gears.
Marty might pull in 4 hi but hes got more money in his engine than we have in both of our trucks combined.

Yes and marty is only slightly above the hp range of a 275 tuned 6.4 which is the truck in question in this thread.
