Yes to an extent. You dont wanna just spin the tires off real easy tho. I still say 4hi, these trucks have plenty of torque to get the sled moving and you want momentum. I have gone to countless truck pulls and traveled with a local guy who pulled a cummins and everyone was always 4hi
