Soak a rag with gasoline, and hold it up to the intake. Have some one crank it, and it will fire and run on gasoline vapors. You will have to throttle it with the rag closer or further from the intake. Just give it enough to make an idle speed.

Completely off topic, but related to this suggestion, we had an E99 7.3 and that was suggested to me, we had the intake piping removed and I was holding the rag over the intake tube after the intercooler, frikkin truck barked back and caught me and the truck on fire! No damages, but it was kinda funny afterward! (just remember to be careful)
