They came on the "light duty" F-250's in either 97 or 98, just before the Superduty was introduced.
I remember when they were introduced and couldn't believe that any manufacturer would run this one of a kind setup!!!
But then again, Ford used a metric diameter rim on the Mustang Cobras in 79-81 that gave you only 2 choices of tires made to fit them, both by Michelin.
