Its safe with custom tunes because then you can have the tuner write a file for non studded trucks which will limit cyllinger pressure and keep things in a safe level. if you go with diablo your probobly going to blow the gaskets or at least thats what its known for. get at least an egt gauge preferably more like trans, fuel pressure, boost.... if you are going to run any kind of tune
