Wink junk stock gauges though

Yeah - but look around here on the forums, you will find the stock tranny temp gauge never moves until the tranny is fried -- sort of like an idiot light that's disguised as a wannabe gauge...

also, after this incident and the stress of wondering if 3000 bucks just burned up, if shown she will probably remember to check the new gauge when towing, especially if its on the pillar or steering column... as an alternate, Autometer makes some gauges that have built in light and option to wire to buzzer for when it hits a programmable maximum...

just my .50 cents (.02 plus this months inflation )
