There are a number of people doing Cold Up-Flow Settling, but John Galt seems to be the go-to-guy for
Cold Up-Flow Settling.
I went one step further and installed a dip tube in my filter barrel so the pump draws oil from about 6" from the bottom, giving even more opportunity for settling.
