how do the factory numbers dictate potential. My 6.0 if you went by the factory numbers, according to your logic, has no potential. Same for any other diesel engine for that matter. Doesn't make any sense to say, that because its supposed to have this much power, it has no potential

the saying goes there is no replacement for displacement. Those numbers could all just come down to tuning. Any engine has potential. You just have to know how to wake it up. If it came in to market, i'm sure eventually it would be competitive in the aftermarket side too. Hino is toyota, and Toyota has been making diesel engines for a pretty long time. I'm sure they know what they're doing
