That's kinda what I figured. I ended up taking it to the dealer and just got it back. I guess there is a bulletin out for the 6-speeds. They are supposed to make this noise, evidently. They checked everything out and left it at that, given the TSB.
I finally got under the truck and sprayed everything with lithium (bolts, threads, etc.) to help with corrosion. I was surprised to find that the tranny has a cooler on it.
