Here is the Parts kit out of the box - great quality let me
tell you and very straight forward. I MUST say, you need to inventory
your parts. They left out the two screws for bolting in my Mass Flow
Sensor plate. It was not a big deal to me I've got every tool and bolt
known to man and live near a large city but if you happen to be
somewhere where you can't obtain things easily this could have been a
problem.
Anyone who has ever popped your hood on a 6.0 knows what this is! And
it's gotta come out. I could have posted the picture of my
pulling out the OEM box but it's VERY straight forward. Pop the clips
to your filter....play with it for a sec.....or two - if you look down
at it you'll see how to get it free from the front and rear and pull it
up. Once the OEM filter is out, the front snorkel piece comes right
out, no blots or screws. Now unscrew the bands attaching the pipe to
the turbo inlet. Here's what you've got when it's done. Oh don't worry
about the OEM intake boxes saddle that mounts to the battery tray, the
fit was fine and it wasn't in the way. I didn’t' catch that
in the picture but you'll see what I'm talking about when you pull it
out.

ALRIGHT - let's put the Volant in. Here was the way I did it - it was a
tight fit so I started by lying the "Volant air duct" in place - just
lay it in and let it sit loose at a bit of an angle. Lay in the "filter
box" next.

Now you can align the two - don't put the bolts in yet, just attach the two.

Now
lay your clamps in place and put the "hump hose" on.....be sure and get
yours facing the right direction. Not that it matter, but once I was
finished I noticed my "hump hose" logo faced the wrong direction. It
didn't matter to me so I left it.
Here is what it looks like laid in place - I haven't tightened anything up yet.

Now
that everything is in place, connected and fits well, I went ahead and
tightened up the clamps and the screws connecting the air box and air
duct.


Install
the rubber grommets for the Mass Flow Sensor and the Air Filter Sensor
you removed from the OEM setup. Here is where I had to find
some screws to replace the ones that weren't in the kit. No big deal
although worth mentioning.


Now clamp in the new air filter.

Bolt down the Ram Air Lid and there you have it!

What do I think about it? I love it - I can hear my turbo whistle
better and....maybe it's me but I seem to have a little quicker
throttle response. I'll drive it for a week and give a better opinion.
